AWAKENHAITI is sponsored by the Carlisle Brethren in Christ Church and was founded by a group of people striving to be the hands and feet of Christ by serving those in need. We invite others who share this desire to join us in this journey.
Mission:
AWAKENHAITI desires to break the cycle of poverty through providing aid to orphans and the poor of Haiti and to encourage spiritual transformation by bringing together diverse cultures.

Our Purpose:
It is our purpose and passion to transform lives by awakening people to a broader perspective of faith. AWAKENHAITI also strives to break the cycle of poverty in Haiti by providing relief, spiritual support, education, skills training and employment opportunity to the country’s orphans and impoverished population. We seek to accomplish this dual purpose by:
- promoting awareness of the needs of orphans and the level of poverty in Haiti as well as awakening spiritual awareness;
- inspiring and enabling action to make a significant and sustainable impact in the lives we touch; and
- providing true hope for all those who share our journey.
Guiding Principles:
- Continually seek God, His wisdom, and His guidance
- Act boldly in obedience and trust the Holy Spirit for results
- Focus on activities that will have a significant and sustainable impact
