Team March treated some things we see on a regular basis like scabies, high blood pressure, intestinal worms, etc. We also had some bigger problems come to the clinic; a young man with an abscess, a young lady who after 6 months of pregnancy had to hear that her baby was no longer developing and viable, some with reoccurring problems that we see month after month due to circumstances. There are no words to explain the importance, the need, and how much this clinic means to this community! There are things that are so hard to see and hear and some things that truly lift spirits. We are blessed to be able to give this service to the people in the Bethanie Canaan community!
In the clinic, we also had two team members praying with people. God was working and moving in many hearts. For some, peace and comfort was given through prayer. With some of the team’s project money, bibles were purchased and were available for those that needed. Bibles were left for Pastor Nathan to give to new Christians and new church members. We also purchased a handful of song books for the church. What a blessing this is to Pastor Nathan and his ministry!
Team March also raised money that helped finish some ongoing projects in Canaan. The office/storage building now has exterior siding and the church was able to discard the dilapidated benches that were still being used when all other new benches were full because more new, sturdy benches were built!
